In the two decades surrounding World War II, a special erotic art developed in America.  This “pinup” art combined a sense of wholesomeness with a strong dash of the prurient.  Pinup art could be displayed in the garage or Army barrack…but not in the living room.  Today pinup art gives us a window into the shadow side of the American psyche. Half a century after its Golden Age, pinup art is still a source of interest.

The music accompanying the above movie is Scenes from Childhood by Robert Schumann. The performance is by Donald Betts.
